The art and technology residence program, simultaneously held in Athens, Belgrade, and Istanbul as part of the Connect for Creativity project, hosted a total of 12 artists for six weeks. The artists who participated in the program developed their work as a response to how can a highly connected culture in harmony cope with the uncertainty and change in modern life.
One of these works belongs to the storyteller and a media artist Katarina Popović from Serbia. Katarina placed a special system in a natural stone that transmits sounds through bone conduction. When you tap to listen to these recorded sounds in Serbia, it is transmitted through the right or left channel, depending on whether it is day or night.
The work exhibited in the garden of Atölye, one of the project partners of Connect for Creativity Project, builds bridges of sound among neighboring cultures!
